Minty-D Custom Pony - Christmas Card 2009

Um... holy cow, I can't believe I forgot to upload this two Christmases ago. The Littlest Pet Shop deer is in the picture because these images were used for my Christmas Card pictures in 2009.

I used an already-white My Little Pony from Wal-mart and made her into Minty-D, my Christmas Pony. Her body was boiled, so to gum the hard glue that kept her head attached to her body, that was a lot of unnecessary cutting. I hand-threaded her hair, which was the biggest pain of this entire project. Hand painting with my acrylics, I had no idea it would stain her white body

This was my first My Little Pony custom, and will probably be my last. I had fun making her, but this was something I wanted to try at least once, inspired by the artists who do this on a bigger scale.

Sadly, my step mom packed her away for Christmas, and we weren't able to find her Christmas 2010.... She's lost to the clutter of our garage.

Fun Trivia: Since her name is Minty-D.... the white strands in her hair/mane are actually white, mint-flavored floss. So, she smells minty, too!
